Golfing for Good: SwissCham Indonesia Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Charitable Causes

The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia (SwissCham Indonesia) hosted its annual golf tournament on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club in East Jakarta. The event was greatly supported by the KADIN Switzerland-Liechtenstein Bilateral Committee, which had significant participation in the tournament.

The tournament, held annually, attracted a wide range of golfers from the business community and beyond. Participants had the opportunity to network and socialize with their fellow participants while also enjoying the beautiful course and stunning views of the surrounding area. The tournament was a resounding success and became a great way for the community to come together.

Supporting 1000 Days Indonesia

One of the main goals of the SwissCham Indonesia Golf Tournament was to raise money for 1000 Days Indonesia, a non-profit organization that works to improve the health and well-being of Indonesian children. The proceeds from the golf tournament will be used to support the organization's efforts to provide in-home access to information and training for village health volunteers to eradicate stunting among Indonesian children. 

Stunting is a massive issue in Indonesia, where malnutrition is a major problem and affects many children. By supporting the efforts of 1000 Days Indonesia, the golf tournament organizers hope to positively impact the lives of children in Indonesia and help improve their health and well-being.

In addition to supporting 1000 Days Indonesia, the funds raised from the golf tournament will also be used to continue SwissCham's current and future corporate social responsibility projects. These projects are an essential part of SwissCham's mission to contribute to the well-being of the communities in which it operates. The organization is committed to making a positive impact through its various philanthropic efforts. Attracting many participants

The SwissCham Indonesia Golf Tournament attracted many participants and raised a total of IDR 150 million for various charitable causes. The funds were generated from multiple sources, including sponsorship, ticket entries, sales of mulligans (additional strokes that players can purchase to improve their score), and a charity auction. 

The local business community supported the event well, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful course and socializing with their fellow golfers. The proceeds from the event will be used to support various charitable causes, and the tournament organizers are already looking forward to next year's event.
